What StudBud stores

Classes, grades, assignments, flashcards, study history and settings are saved in your browser on your own device. As a guest, nothing leaves your device except when you join a live game.

If you create an account, your username, school, coins, purchases, public decks and synced study data are stored with our database provider (Supabase) so they follow you between devices. Passwords are handled by Supabase authentication; StudBud never sees them in plain text. Your school and real name are only shown publicly if you turn that on in your profile.

Infinite Campus imports run in your browser from a file or page you provide; StudBud never receives your Infinite Campus password.

Advertising

StudBud may show banner ads from Google AdSense on a few browsing pages (home, decks and the shop). Ads are never shown during studying, tutorials, games, or pop-ups, and are never required to use any feature.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.

Children

StudBud is built for high school students and is intended for users 13 and older.
